Hoenes Coup For Harborough
United Counties League Premier Division South club Harborough Town have pulled off something of a coup by signing of forward Rhys Hoenes.

The experienced 29-year-old first came to the fore with Barton Rovers.

Having enjoyed a goal-laden spell at Royston Town, he moved to Conference National South side St Albans City in July 2016 before ending the season at Biggleswade Town.

He signed for Kettering Town in June 2017 and scored 24 goals in 2018/19 to help the Poppies win the Southern Premier Central title.

However, he decided to remain in that division and signed for Tamworth in June 2019 before switching to league rivals Coalville Town in June 2020.

He is one of the few players who have scored a hat-trick of penalties.

Hoenes played under current Harborough boss Mitch Austin when he was the assistant-manager at Kettering.
