Carvalho
made 13 appearances for the Greens, scoring 3 times including an opening day
double against Truro City, having joined in July.
The
28-year-old had signed for Macclesfield Town in September 2020 but after their
sad demise, joined Vanarama National League South outfit Hampton & Richmond
Borough a month later.
He
was born in Lisbon and began his career at Fulham before making the move to
Hertfordshire in order to continue his youth development at Stevenage Borough.
He
then joined the Nike Academy and further to this, went on to sign his first professional
contract with Port Vale back in 2013.
Whilst
at Vale Park, he furthered his experience by completing loan moves at several
clubs - most notably at Corby Town, where he secured a permanent move in the
summer of 2014.
The
2014/15 campaign proved to be a memorable one for both the club and player as
Corby secured promotion from the Southern Premier with the wide man finding the
back of the net on 10 occasions in 42 league starts.
Further
to this, he moved down the A6 in order to join Kettering Town in November 2015.
The
pacey winger went on to make 63 appearances for the Poppies in a spell lasting
just under two-years, during which time he weighed in with 20 goals.
In
the summer of 2018, he signed for Stratford Town where he became a key player
in the Bards reaching the Southern Premier Division Central play-offs and
League Cup final.
During
the campaign, he made 52 appearances and scored 15 goals with his rich vein of
form attracting interest from several EFL clubs.
Ultimately,
he opted for a move to Lancashire in order to sign for League One side
Accrington Stanley and went on to make 13 appearances for Stanley, scoring his
first professional goal in the EFL Trophy clash against Fleetwood Town.
