Clifton Takes Tigers Helm
United Counties League Premier Division North club Holbeach United have appointed their third manager of the season with Danny Clifton taking the reins at Carter's Park.

Clifton joins the Tigers from Pitching In Northern Premier League Division One Midlands side Yaxley where he has been in charge of the reserve team having also run the Cuckoos` under-18 side.

 

A club statement from the Tigers said: "We are extremely happy to announce Danny Clifton as our new first team manager.

 

"We have been talking to Danny around our club strategy and three-year plans.

 

 

"He is an exceptional up-and-coming manager, and we are very pleased to have secured his services."

 

Clifton will take charge of a Holbeach side who are now 10 points adrift of safety following Pinchbeck United's victory at the weekend.

 

Club stalwarts Phil Barnes and Dean Elston took interim charge of the Tigers following the departure of Gary Frost last month.
