Gary Chance joins from Bedfordshire County League side Cranfield United as assistant to manager Steve Kuhne.

Chance comes with a wealth of experience, having previously worked with Kuhne at St Neots Town and previously managing AFC Oakley, winning league and cup honours.

Last season he also managed the Bedfordshire County League representative team and guided Cranfield to the Beds County Senior Trophy final.

Having previously worked with several members of the Potton squad, Chance was going to take a year out but was persuaded by Kuhne to come onboard.

Kuhne told the club`s website: “I am pleased to have persuaded Gary to the club having previously worked with him as my assistant at St Neots. He will be a great addition to the team."

Chance replaces Lee Pyke, who has had to step down due to work and family commitments, having played a big part in Potton`s promotion as champions of the United Counties League Division One last season.
