Lions Borrow a Second Stag

Vanarama National League North club Guiseley AFC have signed striker James Gale on loan from SkyBet League Two side Mansfield Town until 22nd March 2022.

The 20-year-old striker links up with his Stags team-mate Owen Mason for The Lions.

Gale came through Derby County’s academy before signing for Long Eaton United for the cut short 2020/21 campaign where he caught the eye of the Stags after scoring 4 goals.

He made his Mansfield debut in November 2021 when he assisted Danny Johnson to set his side on the way to a 6-3 win over Newcastle United under-23’s in the EFL Trophy.

He has gone on to feature in League Two against Scunthorpe United, Hartlepool United and Walsall, whilst being named on the bench in 8 other games.
