The
vastly experienced Fawzi Saadi has joined the Boatmen after leaving his post
recently as player-manager of Sydenhams Football League (Wessex) Premier
neighbours Blackfield & Langley.
The
37-year-old midfielder had been with the Watersiders since August 2019 and was
appointed player-boss in May 2020.
Algerian
with a British passport, he has been player-coach and then player and joint
manager of another Wessex Premier side, Bournemouth Poppies, in recent seasons.
Originally
with Christchurch and then, from July 2002, AFC Bournemouth, he also spent time
on loan with Poppies and Algerian side CR Belouizdad whilst on the Cherries
books.
He
left for neighbours Poole Town in the summer of 2005 and then joined Poppies on
a permanent basis in July 2008.
Also
joining the Boatmen on `work experience` from Championship side AFC Bournemouth
is Owen Palmer.
The
18-year-old joined the Cherries` academy as an under-11.
Signed
as a central midfielder, he has also been utilised as a central defender and at
right-back.
Born
in Portsmouth and a former student at Crofton Secondary School, Palmer
previously played for Gosport Borough.
He
has been abroad on five occasions with the club, twice to Holland and three
times to Italy.
