The Blues sacked Brown following the 2-1 defeat at Chelmsford City on Easter Monday.

Billericay appointed Brown in October 2021 following spells at Dagenham & Redbridge, Heybridge Swifts, Concord Rangers, Welling United and Grays Athletic.

The loss at the Melbourne Stadium leaves the New Lodge outfit rooted to the foot of the table with four games of the season remaining.

The club have appointed their under-23 manager Danny Brown in interim charge until the end of the season.

In a short statement on Twitter on Monday night, the club announced: “With regret, we have to announce that we have parted company with our manager Jody Brown, with immediate effect. Danny Brown will take the reins for the rest of the season. We will be fighting to the end to maintain our place in the National South.”
