A club statement announced that Manning had left the club by mutual consent.

The former Hullbridge Sports boss arrived at The Boots in October last year and led them to safety following a slow start to the season prior to his arrival.

The statement reads: “With regret we confirm that Darren Manning has left the club by mutual consent.

“A huge thank you must go to Darren for his time and commitment to the cause. No one could ever accuse him of working anything other than relentlessly in the pursuit of improvement and success and we’re very grateful for that.

“Our thanks also to his support staff of Joe Gadsdon, Kwabs Osei, Nathan Scarborough, Ryan Madder and Tom Polley for all their efforts in their time with us, and of course to all of the players that represented them and the club during 2021/22.

“We wish you all the best for the future”.
