The
Croydon Sports Arena outfit have given Chambers his first job at first-team
level, having won the Suburban League South Division title with Merstham’s
under 23s last season.
A
club statement reads: “Croydon are delighted to announce Tyler Chambers as the
Trams new manager.
“Tyler
has an exceptional track record at under-23 level with Merstham and we are
proud that he will be making his debut in first team management here at
Croydon.”
In
three seasons managing the under-23s at Sutton Common Rovers, Chambers won
back-to-back Combined Counties League under-23 titles, two under-23s League Cup
runners-up and were runners-up in the under-21 Surrey Cup.
In
two seasons managing Merstham’s under-23s, Chambers won the under-23 Combined
Counties League Cup, Division One Challenge Cup runners-up and Suburban League
South title.
