The
influential player joins the Stags from Southern Premier Division South side Gosport
Borough, where he returned to in May 2019 from Havant & Waterlooville,
having been on loan to Boro for the latter part of the 2018/19 season.
He
joined the Hawks in January 2017 following a two-and-a-half-year spell at
Gosport.
He
became an instant fans favourite as he helped the Hawks lift the Isthmian
League title in 2017.
Before
his spell at Gosport, he enjoyed success across the coast in Southampton with
spells at Hamble Club and Sholing with him lifting the FA Vase at Wembley with
the latter back in 2014.
Stags
boss Jimmy Ball told his club’s website: “Mike brings bags of experience to the
team, he’s a natural leader.
“He’s
a talented midfielder with all of the attributes I’m looking for, and he’ll
bring real character and a level of toughness that we were lacking at times
last season. He and I haven’t worked together before, but I’ve watched him
closely and received nothing but good reports, so getting this deal across the
line makes for a good start to our business this summer. And there will be more
to follow”.
