The
25-year-old left-back moves from new league rivals Slough Town, who he signed
for in June 2021 from another National League South outfit, Bath City.
He
had joined the Romans from Maidenhead United, in July 2020.
He
signed for the Magpies from Wealdstone after arriving from Oxford City in May
2018.
He
began his career with City’s local rivals Oxford United and spent time out on
loan at Margate and Farnborough before joining the Hoops in 2016.
He
made over 80 league starts in his time at the Hoops and was part of their
giant-killing FA Cup team in 2017/18.

Spencer Day told his club’s website: “Freddie is well known to Boro and myself,
so it was an easy decision when he made it clear he wanted to re-join.
“Another
very good player and character that will be popular with everyone”.
