The striker, who netted 33 goals in 95 appearances, leaves Morpeth following a clinical spell at the club.

“With the travelling involved in the Northern Premier next season, and work commitments, unfortunately Mark would be struggling for availability,” Town manager Nick Gray told the club`s website when explaining why the forward departed.

“We wish him all the best at Sunderland RCA, where I’m sure he will be as clinical as he was for us.”

Davison has also worn the colours of Washington AFC and Spennymoor Town.
