Joining veteran Keith Emmerson at The Avenue Stadium is fellow defender Kieran Douglas and central midfielder Ollie Griggs.

Twenty-four-year-old Douglas (pictured) was captain of Christchurch in 2018/19, earning promotion to the Wessex League Premier Division.

The 6`4” defender dual registered with Wimborne Town at a time when Winchester City were desperately trying to sign him, which the then-Southern Division One South club eventually succeeded in June 2019.

He is a natural leader, tall and strong and good on the ball, he helped the Citizens to promotion last season.

Dorchester manager Glenn Howes told his club’s website: "Kieran has started to generate a reputation for being one of the brightest young centre-backs in the area, his aerial and defensive capabilities will be essential in such a strong and powerful league.

"We are extremely pleased to welcome Kieran to The Avenue and look forward to developing him even further."

Also helping Winchester into Step 3 was former Dorchester favourite Ollie Griggs.

The 23-year-old had signed for the Citizens in late September 2020 from Dorchester, where he had returned to in February 2020.

He originally made his debut for the Magpies in January 2017 and made 33 appearances, having returned for a second spell at The Avenue Stadium, having spent the previous 12 months at Winchester.

He started his career with Vanarama National League side Eastleigh. Whilst with the Spitfires, he had loan spells with Bridgwater Town and Wimborne Town.

Howes added: "Ollie will be well known to the Magpies faithful and rejoins for his third spell with the club. Like a lot of young players Ollie has had to work extremely hard on certain aspects of his game and find his way. Huge credit should go to the lad for having the bravery and dedication to do this."

"Ollie’s profile will undoubtedly suit our style of play and we can’t wait to see him back in the black and white once again".
