Busy
Glenn Howes, manager of Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South club
Dorchester Town, has made his fifth new recruit ahead of 2022/23.
Highly-rated 18-year-old central midfielder Michael Lilley joins the Magpies having
spent over a decade at League Two Exeter City.
Lilley
has progressed through the youth system at St James’s Park and then academy,
including making his first team debut against Chelsea under-21s in the Papa
John’s Trophy in August 2021.
He
also gained Southern League experience on loan at then-Division One South
outfit Barnstaple Town during the previous season.
Howes
told his club’s website: “We’re so pleased Michael trusts Dorchester Town
Football Club with his next steps, he is extremely well coached and educated
having been with Exeter since he was 7 years old.
“Michael
possesses a fantastic outlook on football and again possesses all the
attributes that we’re looking for in a young footballer to wear the Dorchester
Town shirt”.
