The
22-year-old has penned a one-year deal at the Deva Stadium.
Lynch
started his career at Crewe Alexandra before moving on to Morecambe.
He
made his first-team debut as a 19-year-old for the Shrimps in the EFL Trophy.
Since
then, he has featured at North West Counties League outfit Lower Breck and
spent last season with Pitching In Northern Premier League Division One West
side Runcorn Linnets.
Chester
manager Calum McIntyre told https://www.chesterfc.com: “Joe is a really
talented footballer that gives us another option in midfield.
“I
genuinely believe that if it wasn’t for Covid and the limited opportunities it
presented for players coming out of clubs further up the pyramid then he
wouldn’t have ended up at the level he played last season.
“He
has all the hallmarks of a player educated within the Crewe Alex academy and
normally would have found opportunities above Step 4 had Covid restrictions
limited such opportunities.
“His
background is impressive, and it would be foolish to perceive Joe as a player
simply jumping up two levels given his pedigree”.
