The
29-year-old (pictured) made 285 appearances for the Saints – and won the FA Trophy - after
re-joining in the summer of 2016 after spending the previous season with Corby
Town.
The
right-back started his career as a trainee at Leicester City before spells at
Brackley and Rugby Town.
He
later joined Stamford, where he was a consistent performer in the Daniels’ side
before moving to Steel Park.
Boston
boss Paul Cox told https://www.bostonunited.co.uk:
"Ellis has been a consistent performer at this level for a number of
years, having experience of numerous play-off campaigns and picking up a
winner's medal at Wembley.
"I
feel that he will bring good experience and a knowhow and really compliment his
new team-mates."
Cox
has also swooped for midfielder Ben Pollock from another league rival, Hereford
FC.
The
24-year-old had signed for the Bulls in October 2019 following a successful
trial period.
He
is the son of Jamie Pollock, who played in the Premier League for Manchester
City, Middlesbrough and Bolton Wanderers.
A
former Newcastle United youngster and whose brother, Mattie plays for Grimsby
Town, he signed a professional contract with Hartlepool United in 2016 and made
his debut in a 1-0 defeat to Sunderland in the EFL Trophy.
He
later played for Dunston UTS in the Ebac Northern League First Division before
signing for Northern League Second Division outfit Billingham Synthonia in July
2018.
Also
joining the Pilgrims is central midfielder Lebrun Mbeka from former league
rivals, Guiseley AFC, who were relegated at the end of last season.
The
25-year-old, who is also capable of playing at centre-half, arrives at the Jakemans
Community Stadium having been a mainstay of the Guiseley side since joining
from Tadcaster Albion in September 2020.
Born
in Congo, Mbeka has featured extensively across Yorkshire in recent seasons,
including spells with Sheffield FC and Ossett United. |
