Midland League Premier Division club Racing Club Warwick have announced their first new signings for the 2022/23 season – both from United Counties League Premier Division South side Rugby Town.

James Hancocks(pictured)  signed for Valley in September 2019 from Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central side Stratford Town.

 

The 24-year-old played under Rugby boss Carl Adams at Stratford in the 2017/18 season after spells with Racing Club Warwick, Daventry Town, Cheltenham Town and Kidderminster Harriers.

 

Hancocks re-joined Stratford in July 2019 after a spell with Bedworth United.

 

Defender Jamal Clarke spent last season at Rugby where he made 20 appearances, having re-joined in October 2021 from Northern Premier League Division One Midlands outfit Bedworth United.

 

Clarke originally joined Valley in July 2019 with a wealth of experience, most recently captaining Coventry United in the Midland League where he scored 3 goals in 42 appearances last season.

 

He also had spells with Evesham United, Redditch United, AFC Rushden & Diamonds and Daventry Town.
