After
spells as a schoolboy at MK Dons and the now-defunct Rushden & Diamonds, the
now 26-year-old moved on to play for Banbury United, Wolverton Town and
Dunstable Town.
It
was at Dunstable that the 6’3″ defender attracted the interest of Dagenham &
Redbridge, then in League Two.
He
signed for the club in March 2016 and went on to make a total of 47 appearances
for the Daggers, scoring one goal, with his form for the East London outfit
earning him an England C call up in late 2018.
He
signed for then-National League South club Maidstone United in July 2019 and
left in January 2020 and signed for National League North outfit Gloucester
City before moving to National League South side Braintree Town in the summer
of 2021.
Bedford
manager Gary Setchell told his club’s website: "When Jon Taylor made me
aware that Luke might be available, it was a no-brainer to speak to him and see
if he would come over to the Eyrie.
“He
is a player who is strong and played at the top end of non-League for many
years. Special thanks go to Jon for enabling this to happen, through his
connection with Luke already". |
