A Couple More New Ravens
Vanarama National League club Bromley have announced the return of James Vennings following his release from SkyBet League One side Charlton Athletic.

The midfielder made 12 appearances for the Ravens, netting away at Eastleigh in the process.

 

Vennings (pictured) also played a key role in Bromley’s Wembley triumph in the Buildbase FA Trophy in May.

 

The 21-year-old came through the Addicks` academy to make 4 League appearances.

 

As well as Bromley, he also had two separate loan spells with Aldershot Town, totalling 13 games.

 

The Ravens have also signed forward David Smith from Pitching In Isthmian League Premier Division outfit Folkestone Invicta.

 

A proven goalscorer, he netted 35 goals in all competitions last season.

 

The 23-year-old progressed through the academy at Maidstone United before making the move to Sittingbourne.

 

A step up to the National League followed after signing for Dover Athletic, but he soon returned to the Isthmian League with Ashford United.

 

After netting 23 goals in one season for Ashford, Smith penned a deal with Folkestone in 2020.
