The season-long deal will see the highly-rated 20-year-old spend the 2022/23 campaign with the Blues.

Crosby-born Tyrer has been with the Toffees since the age of 7.

An athletic, commanding keeper, he established himself in Everton’s under-18 side in 2018/19 before breaking into the under-23s the following season.

He penned his first professional contract at Goodison Park in January 2020 and kept a clean sheet for the first-team in a pre-season victory over Preston North End the following summer.

He was included in the travelling party for Everton’s pre-season trip to the USA in summer 2021 and continued to impress for under-23s last term, starting 18 of 26 Premier League 2 matches, while also training with the first-team and being named in 10 senior squads.

Tyrer signed a new three-and-a-half-year contract with Everton in January 2022.

Chester manager Calum McIntyre told https://www.chesterfc.com: “For us to be able to bring a player with Harry’s pedigree to this level is huge for us.

“As much as this is his first loan away from Everton, his experience in and around their first team squad is hugely significant and I feel this is a really good piece of business in adding a goalkeeper of his quality to our group.

“I am so pleased that Everton have trusted us with the next stage of Harry’s development and to be loaning a player that has had significant exposure in a Premier League club’s first team environment is such a positive for our football club.

“I now feel the goalkeeper department is in a really strong place.

“With Harry’s addition, we now have three really capable young goalkeepers with very different backgrounds, experiences and are in different stages of their career and we look forward to working with all three of them during the coming campaign”.
