level.
Already
firm favourites for the Wessex League title, the Fareham-based outfit have snapped
up Brendan Ebireri.
The
defender has previous Wessex League experience with the likes of Andover Town,
Hythe & Dibden, Fareham Town and Bosham.
Central
midfielder Ryan Wilkins arrives from league rivals Hamble Club, where he has
been playing for the last four seasons, while midfielder Charlie Williamson is
another new arrival.
His
former clubs are Worthing, Bognor Regis Town, Pagham and Baffins Milton Rovers.
Another
midfielder, James Cowan, also moves from rivals Baffins Milton Rovers where he
was captain.
He
was at the club as a 15-year-old and has gone on to play for Dundee, Oxford
United, Airdrie as well as Baffins Milton Rovers.
Goalkeeper
Jake Hallett, 24, joined rivals Moneyfields in July 2019 from Southern Premier
Division South side Salisbury.
He
had signed for the Whites in August 2018 after being highly recommended
following his release by then-Championship side Norwich City.
He
was raised in Southampton and recruited into the Saints academy ranks but ended
up at Norwich where he signed a two-year professional deal in 2016.
Ahead
of signing for Salisbury, he had trials with National League clubs Aldershot
Town and Maidstone United.
Left-back Ashton Leigh (pictured), 26, moves from Southern Premier Division South neighbours
Gosport Borough, where he had only been since March 2022.
He
signed a permanent deal with Isthmian Premier side Bognor Regis Town in June
2019 after being on loan from Wessex Leaguers Baffins Milton Rovers.
The
defender, whose ex-Rocks favourite dad Steve Leigh managed Milton Rovers, even
managed to get his hands on silverware as the curtain came down on the season
with a Sussex Senior Cup winner's medal.
He
played an instrumental role as Bognor saw off the challenge from Burgess Hill
Town with a 2-1 victory after extra-time at Brighton's Amex Stadium.
Another
defender, Elliot Wheeler, also moves from Gosport.
The
28-year-old Isle of Wight-born defender had re-joined Gosport in June 2021.
He
began his career across the Solent with Portsmouth before joining Stoke City
and playing for their under-21s.
After
a spell with Nuneaton Borough, he joined Gosport, then in the National League
South, before joining Southern Premier South club Salisbury in February 2016.
His
pace and positioning at the back impressed manager Steve Claridge enough to
make him captain. |
