The 21-year-old central defender adds versatility with his ability to play in defence and midfield.

He signed for Rovers in 2020 as part of their development team following his release from West Bromwich Albion, having also played academy football at Reading.

Martinez has been capped by Wales at under-17 and under-19 level, despite eligibility for England and Spain, and featured 8 times in Rovers’ relegation from League One in 2020/21, but only made one first team appearance last season for the Gas.

He has previous experience of National league South level before during loan spells with Oxford City, for whom he made 9 appearances and scored one goal and in the National League North last season with Gloucester City, where he played 10 times.
