Mettam Brings in Former Team-Mate

Leon Mettam, the new player-manager of United Counties League Premier Division South club Wisbech Town, has made former team-mate Kegan Everington his first signing and handed him the captain's armband.

The 26-year-old played alongside Mettam at Pitching In Northern Premier League Division One East side Frickley Athletic last season, having joined the Blues in June 2020 from the Fenmen’s neighbours Spalding United.

He had joined the Tulips from then-NPL Premier Division side Grantham Town in September 2018.

He started his career with then-Vanarama National League side Lincoln City, where he made 21 appearances and also had loan spells at Spalding, King`s Lynn Town and Buxton.

He moved to Grantham in the summer of 2017 after his release by the Imps and then moved to National League North side Alfreton Town in September 2017 before re-joining Grantham in the summer of 2018.
