A
former captain of the Magpies` under-23 side, the highly rated 18-year-old
defender, who can operate at full-back or centre-back, returns to the Avenue
Stadium having spent a successful season with Wessex League Premier Division
side Shaftesbury and has started all four of Dorchester’s pre-season friendlies
so far.
First
team coach Brian Churchill told the club’s website: “Jordi’s come through our under-23s
and developed really well. He’s gone away and played 50 or so games for a
Wessex League side last season and really shone.
“He’s
matured from a football point of view and from a physical point of view too –
everyone can see that out on the pitch, and he’s going to be a player for
Dorchester this season and the future.
“We’re
really happy to get Jordi signed on as we know quite a few clubs were looking
at him. We feel the best place for him to develop is at Dorchester and we’ll do
everything we can to assist that. I know he’s got high aspirations, so we’re
hoping to fulfil that with him”.
