The
most experienced is 31-year-old midfielder Dave Keenleyside, who will bring
flair, creativity to the side and will no doubt quickly become a fans favourite
at Langford Road.
Keenleyside
joins from new league rivals Welwyn Garden City.
He
had joined the Citizens in 2018 from Hertford Town and made over 100
appearances.
He
had an outstanding couple of seasons in the Spartan South Midlands League with
Harpenden Town before that when he was picked in the SSML team of the season.
Has
previously served St Albans City, Dunstable Town and London Colney.
Another
midfielder, Max Granville (pictured), returns to the Waders having been with them in
February 2022 on `work experience` from League Two side Stevenage.
Granville,
18, made the Boro first team bench at Valley Parade for a League Two clash
against Bradford City.
For
Granville, the rise up into the first-team frame came quickly.
As
a first-year scholar at the time, he was just 16, earning his stripes,
nonetheless, as part of Boro’s under-15 and under-18 sides.
He
only featured twice for the Waders due to injury but made a massive impact on
his debut at Stratford Town.
An
athletic player and excellent technician, he will bring real energy and bite to
the Waders midfield.
Also
strengthening O’Keefe’s midfield options is 18-year-old Aaron Austin, who moves
from Vanarama National League South side St Albans City.
He
made 4 first team appearances for the Saints and 3 whilst on loan with
Biggleswade’s new league rivals AFC Dunstable.
He
has enjoyed an excellent pre-season and will be one to watch as the season
progresses. |
