Devine had signed for the Dabbers in May 2019 following a spell with then-league rivals Witton Albion.

He began his career with Marine AFC, before spells with Burscough and Witton, where he established himself as a solid full-back with an eye for goal, having spent some of his youth in a more forward position.

Devine played 74 games for the Dabbers in all competitions over the course of his three-year spell at the club.
