Elito (pictured) is an experienced 32-year-old midfielder who joins from National League side Wealdstone.

He had signed for the Stones in the summer of 2021 from league rivals Barnet, where he had been since July 2018.

Born in DR Congo, he has spent the most part of his career in England.

At a young age, he made the move to Colchester, spending his teenage years progressing through United’s academy.

In May 2007, he was handed his first professional contract with the U’s and went on to make 24 appearances.

During the back end of his time at Colchester, he was sent out on loan to Cheltenham Town and Dagenham & Redbridge before signing a permanent deal with the latter.

He featured 136 times for the Daggers, scoring 20 goals across 3 seasons.

He then swapped England for the Netherlands in the summer of 2014, joining VVV-Venlo in the Eerste Divisie, making over 30 appearances in his only campaign with the Dutch outfit.

The Zaire-born midfielder then returned to England during the summer of 2015, signing for Newport County.

He played 43 matches for the Exiles before joining Cambridge United ahead of the following campaign.

During his two-season spell at the Abbey Stadium, he bagged 11 goals in 66 appearances.

Following his release from the club at the end of the 2017/18 season, he spent a short spell on trial with Barnet before earning a contract.

Dunne is another experienced recruit.
