Pitching In Southern League Division One Central club Welwyn Garden City have added double defensive reinforcements to their squad just ahead of the start of their upcoming season.

New Citizens` boss Max Mitchell has signed defenders Gavin Hinds-Cadette and Daniel Ezeigwe to bolster his defensive options.

 

Hinds-Cadette (pictured, 29, a central defender or full-back, is the more experienced of the two, having seen service at a number of clubs including Aylesbury United, Berkhamsted, Hanwell Town, Hoddesdon and Ware and mostly recently Enfield Borough, now of the Thurlow Nunn League Division One South.

 

He returns to Herns Lane after a thirteen-season absence, having played for City as a 16-year-old.

 

Ezeigwe, 20, a central defender, is Spanish born and has played most of his football in this country in Combined Counties League football with firstly Knaphill and more recently Frimley Green, from whom he joins the Citizens.

 

He has also played in good standard Spanish junior football in his native Madrid.
