American Forward Joins Stones
American-born forward Josh Fawole has signed for Maidstone United after leaving Vanarama National League rivals Aldershot Town earlier in the summer.

The 24-year-old played four years of college soccer at Loyola University Maryland between 2016 and 2019, making 68 appearances, scoring 20 goals and tallying 10 assists.

 

Whilst playing at college, he appeared in the USL PDL with Baltimore Bohemians in 2016, NPSL side FC Baltimore in 2018, and the now rebranded USL League Two in 2019 with The Villages SC.

 

In January 2020, he was selected 42nd overall in the 2020 MLS SuperDraft by DC United.

 

Although DC United declined to make him an offer, he did sign with their USL Championship affiliate, Loudoun United in March 2020.

 

In October 2021, following a trial period, he agreed to join side Aldershot before immediately joining Farnborough on loan.

 

He returned to Aldershot in January 2022 and went onto feature 4 times in all competitions before another loan move, this time joining Salisbury in February 2022 and a month later, joined another Pitching In Southern Premier Division South side, Beaconsfield Town, on loan until the end of the campaign.
