McHugh,
who turns 20 next week, hails from Liverpool and started his career at Premier
League Everton before making the move to the Latics, where he progressed from
the academy to senior level.
In
his first senior start for Wigan, McHugh scored a stunning goal in an EFL
Trophy tie at Tranmere Rovers.
The
central midfielder has made a total of 6 senior appearances at the DW Stadium.
Chester
manager Calum McIntyre told https://www.chesterfc.com: “Harry will add to a
centre midfield that has been massively hit by injuries during the opening
spell of the season.
“To
have lost two further midfielders to suspension has meant we have been on the
barest of bones in recent weeks and I’m pleased we’ve finally been able to make
an addition.
“We
take real pride in our recruitment and in Kieran Coates and Danny Devine we
felt we added what was needed when it was needed.
“Harry
is an exciting midfielder with outstanding technical ability and will add an
energetic presence to the midfield. We thank Wigan Athletic for trusting us
with the next stage of Harry’s development”. |
