Hogg,
only 26, has decided to call time on his playing career, maybe only temporarily,
due to a series of injuries.
He
has been with the Ducks for eight seasons, making 185 appearances and scoring
23 goals since signing from Tring Athletic in 2015.
Joining
the club are forward Joseph Chidyausiku (pictured) and young midfielder Jack Moriarty.
Chidyausiku
is a 24-year-old who joins the Ducks from Isthmian Premier Division leaders
Aveley where he was on dual registration with Vanarama National League South
side Braintree Town, where he had been since the summer of 2021.
He
spent 2021/22 on dual registration with Farnborough. Beaconsfield Town and
Aveley.
He
had joined Braintree in the summer of 2021 from National League South rivals St
Albans City where he had been since June 2020 and also signed dual forms with
Isthmian South Central outfit Northwood.
He
started the 2019/20 season in the National League North with Bradford Park
Avenue, who he signed for in late August 2019.
He
spent time with Havant & Waterlooville in the National League in 2018/19.
He
was previously with Boreham Wood, Hadley, Dunstable Town, Rayners Lane, Bedfont
Sports and Romford.
He
first moved to the Horsfall Stadium in pre-season and featured against
Rotherham United and Sheffield Wednesday, scoring against the latter.
He
went on to train elsewhere and then joined Avenue on non-contract terms before
returning south in October 2019 to have a short spell with National League
South side Chelmsford City and then join Isthmian South Central outfit
Bracknell Town in December 2019 and then St Albans.
Moriarty
is a 20-year-old who had only joined Southern Premier Division Central side
Bedford Town in August 2022 from Spartan South Midlands League side Potton
United.
He
had joined Potton via a short spell with Berkhamsted Raiders, having arrived at
Bedford’s league rivals Kings Langley in the summer of 2021.
He
came through the ranks at League Two Stevenage and accepted a scholarship in
late 2017 to begin full-time at Stevenage for the 2018/19 season upon
completion of his GCSEs.
He
became a regular in Boro`s under-18s and gained experience in the Southern
League in 2019/20 with a loan spell with Division One Central outfit
Biggleswade FC.
