A real fans favourite in his time at the club, Carver made 28 league appearances for Southport scoring 16 goals plus 7 in the cups, scoring 5.

He left to join Hartlepool United in January 2022 and subsequently moved on to Scunthorpe but playing opportunities have been limited.

The 28-year-old had originally arrived at Port in May 2020 from league rivals Chorley, who he signed for on a permanent basis from Accrington Stanley in 2016, following a successful loan spell.

A willing runner with energy to burn, he was formerly with Marine AFC, FC Halifax Town, Barrow AFC and AFC Fylde.
