Bobby
Wilkinson, the recently appointed manager of Vanarama National League South
club Weymouth, has added a trio of new players.
The
vastly experienced Ben Gerring (pictured) has been brought in to hopefully steady the
defence.
The
31-year-old imposing defender had re-joined Pitching In Southern League Division
One South Bideford AFC in July 2022 from National League North side Gloucester
City.
He
had signed for the Tigers in November 2021 from National League South side Bath
City.
He
had moved to Bath in June 2021 from National League side Woking having been
with the Cards since October 2018 after helping lead his Truro City side to a
National League South play-off place during the 2017/18 season.
His
performances earned him a move to free-spending Billericay Town during the
summer of 2018, but opportunities proved to be limited and by September he was
back on loan with his former club.
Following
the completion of his latest spell with the Cornish club he settled on a move
to help Woking back to the National League via the play-offs in 2019.
Originally
with Plymouth Argyle, he had spells with Weymouth, Kettering Town, Cambridge
City, Taunton Town and Truro City before his first spell with Bideford in the
summer of 2013.
He
left in January 2014 for Hayes & Yeading United and then returned to the
south west with Truro in December 2014. Margate, Hayes & Yeading again,
Torquay United, Truro for a third time and Billericay Town were his next stops
before joining Woking.
Goalkeeper
Zaki Oualah and forward Tyler Forbes have also become Terras.
Oualah,
27, turned professional with AFC Wimbledon in July 2021, having spent seven
seasons training with the club.
He
moved on loan to then-National League South side Billericay Town in February
2022.
He
initially returned to then-Isthmian Premier club Leatherhead on dual
registration from Aldershot Town in September 2018.
He
previously had spells with Uxbridge, Godalming Town, Hampton & Richmond
Borough, Bedford Town, Burnham, Aylesbury United, Farnborough, Algerian side US
Biskra, Hayes & Yeading United and Hendon.
Forbes
is a 20-year-old British Virgin Islands international who make the short trip from
Southern Premier Division South neighbours Poole Town, where he had been since
the summer of 2021.
After
his impressive displays in Poole’s under-23 side, he gained senior experience
in the Western and Wessex Leagues after being dual registered with Bridport and
Christchurch in 2021/22.
An
exciting attacker, he has also had a spell with Heybridge Swifts and time at
Maldon & Tiptree and is part of Champion Sports Academy.
Busy
Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division club Nantwich Town have
added Chris Sang to their squad.
The
23-year-old joins the Dabbers from JD Cymru Premier side Bala Town.
He
crossed the border to Wales in the summer of 2022 after being with Vanarama National
League side Wrexham since April 2021.
He
came through Wigan Athletic’s youth academy and made his senior debut for Bury
in 2017 where he was also loaned out to Southport, Marine and Altrincham.
He
was with Barnsley under-23s, and also spent time on loan with Guiseley AFC.
