The
22-year-old joined Maidstone in June 2021 with a point to prove.
The
rising star was on the books of Tottenham Hotspur for eight years after Premier
League scouts spotted the then 8-year-old’s exceptional talent.
After
that journey came to end at the age of 16, the determined winger plied his
trade at Abbey Rangers, before a trial for Chelsea saw him sign a short-term
deal in the summer of 2017.
He
made 13 appearances for the Blues under-18s, scoring one goal. Following his
departure from Chelsea, he returned to the grassroots game that had a provided
a launch pad previously.
He
scored 19 goals for Southern Counties East League side Greenwich Borough and
that re-ignited interest and a trial with Colchester United followed.
He
eventually stayed in non-League football, signing for Herne Bay in July 2019,
where in two curtailed seasons, he made 46 appearances, scored 11 and chipped
in with numerous assists.
Unfortunately,
Walters has found opportunity limited with the Stones and has just returned
from a short-term loan with National League South outfit Tonbridge Angels.
