New Centre-Back for Poppies

Vanarama National League North club Kettering Town have signed defender Ibrahim Bakare from National League South side Weymouth.

The 20-year-old centre-back started his career in the Mass Elite Academy, London.

In the summer of 2018, he was signed by League Two side Morecambe and was a regular in the Shrimps` under-18 side.

He signed professional terms in the summer of 2020 and enjoyed a spell on loan with Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division side Lancaster City but was released by Morecambe in January 2021.

He signed for Championship side Cardiff City in March 2021 and turned out for the Bluebirds` under-21 side.

He moved south to join Weymouth last month.
