Centre-back Carl Mensah (pictured) joins Stow after being on the books at Southern Premier Division Central outfit Royston Town since December 2021.

The 26-year-old originally joined Stow’s league rivals Welwyn Garden City from Colney Heath in 2015.

He returned after a brief spell with Cockfosters in 2017 and then signed for Spartan South Midlands League Premier side Tring Athletic in the summer of 2018.

He re-joined Welwyn in June 2019 under current Walthamstow boss Nicky Ironton and then switched to league rivals Kempston Rovers in January 2020 but moved to neighbours Bedford Town at the end of the month.

He re-joined Welwyn Garden City again in the summer of 2020 before moving to neighbours Royston.

Ironton has also signed defender Nwanokwu Chukwuemeka.

The 22-year-old was most recently with Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division side St Panteleimon and has also turned out for Sussex side Oakwood in the Southern Combination League.
