The
25-year-old joined Long Eaton from Ilkeston’s league rivals Basford United in
December 2021 and went on to make 19 appearances for the Blues, contributing
with 6 goals.
Fyfe
etched his name into Long Eaton’s history books with a brace in the final match
of the season against Gresley Rovers at a packed Grange Park, to seal the United
Counties League Premier Division North title.
The
talented midfielder had been with Basford since September 2021 after arriving
from NPL Premier Division side Gainsborough Trinity, where he had been since
May 2020 after joining from Ilkeston.
He
impressed Robins' fans with some quality displays, which included winning the
Midland League title in 2019 securing the title with a hat-trick on the final
day.
He
was a hot prospect coming through the academy at Notts County, although was
released in 2015. Since then, he has played at other non-League clubs such as
Heanor Town and Radford before making his first move to Ilkeston. |
