The versatile 27-year-old helped County to win the National League title in 2021/22 having joined from then-league rivals Hartlepool United in July 2020.

He had been with Pools since the summer of 2018 after being released by Rochdale.

He is most comfortable at left-back but can perform a role anywhere down the left flank or even in midfield when called upon.

A graduate of Middlesbrough’s academy, he gained experience from loan spells at York City and Rochdale before joining the latter permanently in February 2017.

He played 23 games for Dale at League One level and it was a surprise to many when they opted to release him but Pools moved swiftly to bring the Guisborough-born man back to the North-East.
