Many Magpies fans will remember Jones for scoring a hat-trick in the opening game of the 2017/18 season at the Ricoh Arena, which saw Coventry City run away 3-0 winners.
The 25-year-old enjoyed six years with the Sky Blues but endured an injury-hit end to his time in the West Midlands, before joining Karl Robinson's side at the start of this campaign.
And, having maintained his fitness throughout his time at the Kassam Stadium, Notts head coach Luke Williams believes Jones can have a big impact at Meadow Lane.
