The 27-year-old (pictured) joined Wood in July 2022 from National League North side Boston United, where he had been since August 2021. He had joined Hartlepool United in April 2021 from another National League North side Chester having moved to the Deva Stadium in July 2019 after a successful short trial period. He spent time at Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa during his youth before playing college football for Hofstra Pride in New York where he made 68 appearances and scored 14 goals. He then turned out for North Carolina FC, Long Island Rough Riders and Spanish Tercera División club San Cristóbal in October 2018. He returned to England in January 2019 and joined Port Vale, earning a short-term deal and making 6 first team appearances. New Iron boss Jimmy Dean has also signed experience goalkeeper Adam Chapman. Experienced goalkeeper Aaron Chapman is looking forward to contesting for the starting jersey, with his aim to get back playing during his time with the Iron. The 32-year-old signed for Stevenage in the summer of 2022 but hasn’t been able to force his way into the team over the course of the campaign so far. In joining Scunthorpe, he’s hoping to do just that and put a frustrating period on the sidelines behind him. He started his career in non-League football with Belper Town before moving to Chesterfield in the summer of 2013. He failed to make any appearances for the Spireites but did have loan spells with Chester, Accrington Stanley and Bristol Rovers He signed for Accrington on a more permanent basis in July 2016 and went on to make 60 appearances. A move to Peterborough United followed in May 2018 and he played 32 times for Posh as well as 6 on loan at Tranmere Rovers. In October 2020 he went `north of the border` to Motherwell and played 6 times before returning south to Gillingham in July 2021, playing 18 times.
