Gladiators Sign International Striker
Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division club Matlock Town have signed international striker Reece Styche.

The well-travelled and experienced forward joins the Gladiators from Southern League Premier Division Central side Stourbridge, where he had been since late September 2021. He began his career at Hednesford Town going on to have spells at Grantham Town, Coalville Town, Shepshed Dynamo and Chasetown. His goalscoring record came into fruition at Forest Green Rovers where he scored 35 goals in 108 appearances between 2010 and 2014. Further spells at Wycombe Wanderers and Kidderminster Harriers followed as well as Macclesfield Town and Gateshead. He was then loaned to Nuneaton Borough during the 2016/17 season before moving to Tamworth in the summer of 2017 ahead of the 2017/18 campaign, where he scored 10 goals. A switch to Darlington came in November of the same season, and he went on to finish the 2017/18 campaign with 21 league goals. He joined Alfreton Town for an undisclosed fee in October 2018 and then moved to league rivals Hereford FC in May 2019. He moved to Southern Premier Division Central outfit Bromsgrove Sporting in February 2020, onto Northern Premier side Buxton in June 2020 and back to Hednesford in May 2021 In 30 internationals for Gibraltar, Styche has netted 3 goals. Matlock boss Martin Carruthers told https://www.matlocktownfc.co.uk: “Reece will be a fantastic addition to our squad, He’s exactly the type of striker we’ve been looking for since we arrived in December. A big, powerful striker who will add another dimension to our play, he’s proven and experienced at our level and above and to boot, a Gibraltar international!. He’s also a great lad and will be great around the dressing room”.
