The 20-year-old forward (pictured) enjoyed a 5-game stint on loan from the Addicks earlier in the season, before returning to The Valley and then going out on loan once again to the Wings` league rivals Dulwich Hamlet in February.
After representing Hamlet 6 times, the Irishman returned to Charlton to continue to represent their under-21 side and now returns to Park View Road to help the Wings in attack for the last eight games of the season.
Wings boss Warren Feeney told https://www.wellingunited.com: “Dylan reminds me of myself when I played! He never gives teams an inch. He’s 100 percent every week, he runs, he harasses, he’s good in the air and makes things happen.
“I’m delighted to have him back because he’s a joy to work with. I want to say thank you to Steve Avory at Charlton and Dean Holden, the manager – it’s important for us to have these links with local clubs and it’s going in the right direction.”
Welling were also allowed to take goalkeeper Yusuf Mersin on an emergency loan from National League side Maidstone United.
The Wings have been given special dispensation by the National League to sign the 28-year-old on a two-week deal following the transfer deadline on Thursday.
An injury suffered by Myles Roberts in training after the deadline had passed, coupled with Kai McKenzie-Lyle’s absence due to international duty left Welling without an option between the sticks for Saturday’s clash with Bath City, leading to Mersin’s arrival at Park View Road.
The club had initially welcomed Fraser Barnsley on a short-term loan from Oxford United on Tuesday, but the young goalkeeper has since been recalled by his parent club.
Mersin spent time as a youngster at Millwall before making the move to Liverpool’s academy in 2011.
A Turkey under-18 international, he spent two years with Kasımpaşa in Istanbul prior to a move back to England with Crawley Town in 2016.
He made 19 appearances over three seasons for the Red Devils and made the switch to Dover Athletic in 2019, enjoying two seasons at the Crabble before heading to Maidstone in 2021.
Mersin made 7 appearances during the Stone’s title-winning season last term and started their season in the National League, racking up 16 league outings before joining the Wings.
