Experienced defender Mohamud Ali moves to Bower Fold from league rivals Warrington Town. He had joined the Wire in the summer of 2021 from Vanarama National League North side Southport. He had moved to Port in June 2020 after two seasons with league rivals Curzon Ashton, establishing himself as an accomplished performer at this level. Born in Zeist, the Netherlands, he has been capped 8 times by Somalia, being named man of the match in the nation’s first-ever World Cup qualifying win against Zimbabwe in September. He moved to the UK in 2013, having learned his trade at Alphense Boys, making his first-team debut in the third level of Dutch football at 18, whilst also representing ADO Den Haag. His first club in English football was Northwich Victoria, before going on to play for Mossley AFC and Droylsden. A successful two years with Curzon ended by collecting the supporters’ player of the year award earlier this month. His brother Ahmed plays for Southern League Division One Central side Halesowen Town. In 2021, he joined Warrington where he impressed in pre-season before suffering a bad injury at the start of the season. Forward Curtis Morrison (pictured) who joins the club from league rivals Nantwich Town had moved to the Dabbers in late September 2022 having re-joined another league rival, Hyde United, in August 2022. He had signed for Ossett United in March 2022 from NPL Division One East rivals Cleethorpes Town, where he had only been since February 2022. He had re-joined Gainsborough Trinity in July 2021 from Hyde, who he had signed for in early December 2020 from then-Southern Premier Division Central side Banbury United. He had joined the Puritans in October 2020 from Hyde`s league rivals Grantham Town. He started the 2019/season with Gainsborough before switching to Grantham in early January 2020. Sheffield-born, he began his career with Chesterfield in 2016 and made his pro debut in a 3–1 EFL Cup defeat against Rochdale. In August 2016, he joined Trinity on loan and had further loans at Matlock Town in September 2016 and January 2017- the latter extended to a season-long loan in March 2017. He signed for Guiseley AFC in the summer of 2017 and was again loaned out, firstly to Buxton and then back again to Matlock. Celtic have also signed defender Anis Zaknoune on dual registration terms from North West Counties League side Wythenshawe Town. The 22 year old left-back, who is originally from France, moved over to English football last year and impressed for Pilkington in pre-season. He made 10 appearances for Pilkington before being signed by Wythenshawe Town at the start of 2023. Since joining the NWCFL Premier Division side, he has played eight times, scoring earlier this month in a 3-1 win over Bury.
