The 26-year-old has been on loan to Marske before, and therefore has agreed to play for them for the rest of the season. Mondal signed for Darlington in May 2021 from AFC Fylde, where he had been since August 2020. He can operate comfortably on either wing whilst having the ability to switch feet when required to do so. Having begun his career coming through the youth ranks at Middlesbrough, his first taste of senior football was with Spennymoor Town, thus showing he knows the non-League scene prior to heading into the new season. After a successful spell with Spennymoor, a short time at Whitby Town followed before the winger caught the eyes of then-League Two side Forest Green Rovers. Netting 5 goals in 15 starts at The New Lawn and also making an impact multiple times from the bench, he left the club in the summer of 2021 after 18 months in Nailsworth.
