Tuffs will be coming back to help the Tangerines move forward through the many developments the club have planned. From his previous spell as manager, the club know the enthusiasm and drive that he will bring to the club. The appointment comes on the back of various conversations with Paul McCarthy and other interested parties, with the decision that this is a great opportunity for the club as we move forward. Chairman Nick Bailey told https://www.ashfordtownmiddlesexfc.com: “The timing feels right to bring back Tuffs from him almost 18-month loan spell at Leatherhead and elsewhere! “It’s great to have him back on board and part of our project as we bring about new developments at the club. I have kept in regular contact with Luke since he left, and it will be fantastic to see him back and pacing the touchline!” Tuffs said: “I am incredibly excited to have got the call to come back home and lead the club in its next chapter. “Nick is not only a fantastic chairman that I had great fun working with last time, but a good friend, and a good man. We’ve remained friends and in regular contact over the last 18 months, so the chance to reunite is a no brainer for me. “The project ahead is an exciting. Not just for the club but also the local community. This coming season the club will transform through new facilities and a state-of-the-art 3G pitch that Nick and the club have worked incredibly hard to secure. This will make Ashford a fantastic place to work, for players to play, supporters to watch, and everyone to be associated with”.
