The highly rated forward joins the Silkmen, having scored 22 goals for the Nash last season. The 27-year-old comes in to the fold with an impressive track record throughout his career and, having played at a higher level than the Northern Premier League for most of his career, will be an invaluable asset for Macc in the upcoming 2023/24 season. Peers (pictured) has remained fairly local throughout his career, featuring for Chester, Hednesford Town, AFC Telford United, Nantwich Town and Altrincham, impressing for each, most notably at Curzon Ashton, scoring at least 10 in all competitions in both of the last two consecutive seasons. Goalkeeper Max Johnstone has also joined the Silkmen from Gulf United. The 24-year-old, formerly of Fleetwood Town, Manchester United, Sunderland, St Johnstone, AFC Fylde and Cove Rangers is eager to impress between the posts for the Silkmen, signing from the Eagles for an undisclosed fee. The brother of Crystal Palace keeper Sam Johnstone, he moves to Macclesfield as the new number one, boasting a wealth of experience from the highest level of English football, and most recently playing a major role in Gulf’s promotion to the UAE first division in his first season with the Dubai based Club. The 6`5” keeper makes his way over from the Middle East to Macclesfield during the course of the summer. And midfielder Hayden Campbell has also become a Silkman as they prepare for life at Step 3. The 20-year-old follows Peers from National League North side Curzon Ashton. He had signed for the Nash in January 2023 from Marine AFC, where he had been since August 2022 after arriving from SkyBet League Two side Salford City, having previously spent a short loan spell with the Mariners during the curtailed 2020/21 season. He began his career with Port Vale and joined the Ammies in September 2020. As well as Marine, he also had loan spells with Kidsgrove Athletic, FC United of Manchester, Stalybridge Celtic and Altrincham.
