| Purver Makes Boro Move |
| Scarborough Athletic have announced the signing of attacking midfielder Alex Purver from Vanarama National League North rivals Darlington. |

| Purver has enjoyed a successful two-year period with the Quakers and recently picked up both players’ player of the season and supporters’ player of the year awards.
The 27-year-old West Yorkshire-based midfielder started his career at Leeds United in their academy, and worked his way through the age groups, captaining their under-21 side.
He was loaned out to Guiseley AFC on two occasions in season 2016/17, and then he completed a permanent move to Nethermoor in the summer of 2017.
And he was part of the Guiseley team that shocked Cambridge United in the Emirates FA Cup in 2018.
In July 2019, he moved to Swedish side Ostersunds, and played in the Swedish Premier League before his contract ended in December last year.
Scarborough boss Jonathan Greening told https://www.scarboroughathletic.com: "Alex is a player I’ve been after for a while so I’m delighted to have him onboard.
“He’s a central midfielder who reads the game very well, disciplined in his position, can break up play but most importantly keep the ball for us. He is a great trainer and does everything right.
“He loves the game like I do and is a real student of the game, that’s why he’s coaching at Leeds United. I feel like he will add great experience and enthusiasm to our squad and drive the standards up even more in training and games".
