| Booth Becomes First New Peacock |
| Vanarama National League South club Taunton Town have announced their first new capture of the close season with the arrival of Austen Booth from Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South side Plymouth Parkway. |

| The highly rated 25-year-old, who is comfortable playing in both defence or midfield, comes to the Cygnet Health Care Stadium having scooped both the supporters` and players’ player of the year awards at Parkway for last season.
Booth arrived at Parkway in the summer of 2022 from Southern Premier Division South rivals Tiverton Town, where he had been since November 2020 after joining from Toolstation Western League Premier Division side Buckland Athletic.
A former Torquay United youngster, he joined Buckland on a more permanent basis in August 2020 from Truro City, who he signed for during the summer of 2017.
He went out on loan to Barnstaple Town in 2017 in order to gain competitive experience, before playing more regularly in 2018.
The midfielder spent a few months away at Buckland on loan, before nailing down a first team spot at Truro at the end of 2018/19.
Head of Football Rob Dray told https://tauntontown.com: “We’re very pleased to secure Austen, he’s another massive addition to the squad. He is somebody we’ve been tracking for the last 12 months and brings good quality to the playing side as well as great character to the squad as we look to increase numbers for next season. He won two major awards at Parkway last season which shows what a super player he is”.
