Surprise as Flinn Leaves Newport Pagnell
Gary Flinn has announced that he is departing from his role as manager of Newport Pagnell Town, just days after leading the United Counties League Premier Division South club out at Wembley Stadium for the Isuzu FA Vase Final.

Gary Chance will also be leaving his role of assistant manager. Flinn leaves after leading Pagnell to back-to-back Vase finals, although the second time was a defeat by Ascot United. When Flinn was appointed as manager four seasons ago, a complete re-build was necessary, and alongside Gary Chance they set about regenerating the team on limited resources. What was to follow was beyond the club’s wildest expectations. Whilst progress was positive in the two Covid disrupted seasons, the 2021/22 season culminated in Pagnell winning the Vase, a day that will live long in the memory of every Swans fan. This season saw the team compete on all fronts, finishing third in the league and taking the team back to Wembley for the second time. Whilst it was not the story book ending we all hoped for, once the disappointment in losing the Vase final has surpassed it will be remembered as an historical achievement for the club.
