New Keeper for Port
Goalkeeper Chris Renshaw who has signed for Southport from Vanarama National League North rivals Curzon Ashton.

The 25-year-old whose three-year stay with Premier League Everton ended in the summer of 2019 when he was released and joined then-Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division Witton Albion. Before joining the Toffees, he had come through the ranks at Oldham Athletic and was part of their youth team before completing a transfer to Merseyside in June 2016. He had a month`s loan with National League side FC Halifax Town in 2020/21. At the start of the 2021/22 season he moved to National League North side Curzon Ashton and picked up the player and players` player of the year awards for 2022/23 before moving to league rivals Southport in May 2023. Manager Liam Watson told his club’s website: “This is a brilliant signing for Southport Football Club. Chris is a top keeper and we are thrilled to have been able to bring him to the club. It is a great piece of business for Southport”.
